Home Cadence ("we", "our", or "the app") is a home maintenance task tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Key Point: All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your information.
Data Collection and Storage
What We Collect
Home Cadence collects and stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Areas: Names and types of areas in your home (rooms, systems, outdoor spaces)
- Tasks: Maintenance task names, frequencies, and due dates
- Completion History: Records of when you completed tasks
- App Settings: Your preferences for notifications, theme, and other settings
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect usage analytics or tracking data
- We do not have access to your data
- We do not transmit any data to external servers
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it using the backup feature.
Backup and Export
When you use the Export Backup feature:
- A JSON file is created containing your areas, tasks, and settings
- This file is saved to a location you choose or shared via your device's share functionality
- We have no access to exported backup files
Third-Party Services
Home Cadence does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Notifications
The app uses local notifications to remind you about maintenance tasks. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers.
Children's Privacy
Home Cadence does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- You can delete all app data using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings
- Uninstalling the app will remove all associated data
- You have complete control over your data at all times
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
